On Saturday morning of the Homer Davenport Community Festival, the residents from the Silverton Country come together in the city's historic downtown district for the annual Community Parade. Entries range from floats to antique automobiles as well as bands and dancers.
This year's Parade theme is "Celebrating Our Cartoon Heritage."
We invite you to celebrate by participating in our annual parade on Saturday, August 5nd. All entrants are encouraged, but not required, to coordinate their entry with this year’s parade theme. The Parade forms up around 9:00 am in the parking lot of the old High School's Schlador street campus, at the end of Brown Street, (first right turn after the train tracks on North Water). The Parade will get underway at 10:00.
